\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe purpose of the unit is \u201cto appraise the management on prudent use of the resources in the Authority.\u201d\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe Unit is responsible for: \n
  • \n Ensuring financial, managerial and operating information reported internally and externally is accurate, reliable and timely;<\/li>\n
  • \n Ensuring that Financial activities of Authority are in compliance with laws, policies, plans, standards and procedures of the government of Malawi;\n<\/li>
  • \n Maintenance and improvement of performance of the regulatory body by monitoring its activities;\n<\/li>\n
  • Ensuring that the responsibilities assigned to the Authority are properly discharged;\n<\/li>\n
  • Ensuring that funds of Authority are used economically, effectively and efficiently:<\/li>\n
  • \n Ensuring that risks are adequately managed at Authority;\n<\/li>\n
  • Promoting economic use of resources, efficiency and effectiveness in the administration of Authority programmes and operations;<\/li>\n
  • Preparation of plans to be approved by the Board for the development and maintenance of an efficient internal audit for Authority;\n<\/li>\n
  • \n Devising systems to keep Authority fully informed of its problems and deficiencies in relation to its operations and suggest appropriate corrective action.<\/li>
