The office of this unit is located in the Shire Catchment Area but the Director  reports directly to the Executive Director\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a5e6cc3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a5e6cc3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Purpose of KBMU is to manage the Lake Malawi-Shire River Hydrological System<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4e7f0d9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4e7f0d9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<strong>To achieve the above functions, the unit carries out the following functions:<\/strong><BR\/>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\n    The operation and maintenance of the Barrage<\/li>\n<li>\n    The management of aquatic weed\n<\/li>\n<li>\n    The management of hydrometric network operations\n<\/li>\n<li>\n    The management of hydrologic modelling and flood forecasting\n<\/li>\n<ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is headed by the Director of KBMU who report<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"elementor_header_footer","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-222","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.6 -
